“I stay at hotels an average of 40 nights a year, and few match the calm comfort and beauty of Chambord. Great staff, large rooms with nice beds and shower, views from balconies, and a perfect location. We will definitely return. The only problem was that the wi-fi cut out each late after3 and somehow that also caused most TV channels to not work.”

“I stayed for a week in Hotel Chambord. Room was small but big enough for me as a solo traveler. Bed was comfortable and pillows were soft, which is the best thing after roaming around the city the whole day. Location is perfect. The train station is right outside the hotel, street full of shops are just across the street & many bus options. It’s only a 15-minute downhill walk from Grand Palace if one feels like walking. The surrounding area is lovely & safe part of the town. Breakfast buffet was lovely. Pastries, bacon, egg but the hot chocolate was the cherry on top. It can just get tiring having the same meal for breakfast for a week but it’s not a big deal. They change the sheets, get new towels & clean rooms everyday. Wall is thick enough that it drowns out the noise outside the hall but I could still hear door banging/slamming, footsteps like when people are running in the middle of the night & when cleaners roll their trolly. As a light sleeper, it wakes me up but it didn’t cause me loss of sleep. There’s AC but it doesn’t let you turn it down below 20 deg which could get pretty warm but I freeze easily so it wasn’t a big deal but would be nice if I can get the room a little colder. What I didn’t like is the smell of the room. I can’t describe it but it’s like a mixture of sweat and human odor?? Like when you get inside a room & you know somebody has just been there despite them cleaning & changing the sheets. The smell disappeared after turning the AC on but it lingers in the pillow, carpets etc. I also have to warn that the shower can get VERY slippery. I almost fell once after showering. Luckily, I was able to hold on to something. The elevator is also very narrow. It can only fit 2-3 people at a time. I also had to catch an early train and asked if I can have a packed breakfast since buffet starts at 7am, (I experienced some hotels offer it when guests ask) but they don’t do that as I was told which was understandable but a bummer. There aren’t always someone manning the reception, I experienced getting in and out without someone seeing me. I’m just thinking for security purposes. But maybe they have a camera or something at the back where they can monitor the comings & the goings. Wifi is also unstable.”

“Good value for money. Did not have breakfast. Seems expensive but i can't judge properly. Optimal choice for travellers and a quick visit to Menton. Extremely clean and everything is new and functional. Outstandig choice of international tv channels.”

“The location is perfect! It's situated on a beautiful, central street with restaurants and cozy coffee shops just a short walk away. The boardwalk, beach, and port are also only a few minutes away, which was very convenient. I expected the room to be a bit nicer based on the photos. The pillowcases and bed cover looked a bit worn, though overall the room was comfortable. The bathroom was quite spacious, but a little outdated. The shower curtain was too short, so water tended to go everywhere when using the shower. That said, I think many hotels in the area are similar and not very modern. The staff at the reception were incredibly kind, helpful, and even funny — a real highlight of the stay! However, one downside was the strong smell of cigarettes in the lobby. For a hotel that advertises itself as non-smoking, it gave a bit of a mixed impression.”
